Is it compatible with Microsoft Office?

Yes. .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files open and save in their original format: the people you work with open them in Office without conversion.

Is it an alternative to Google Docs?

Yes: editing in the browser, together, with comments and link sharing. Your files remain ordinary files, in your Drive hosted in Europe.

Can I work offline?

Yes, with file sync on your computer: open the file in your usual software, and the changes go to Drive when you are back online.
